Technology

Full-Field Imaging leaves nothing hidden. See every cell and every detail, in one continuous scan, all at 100X. Scopio’s breakthrough technology uses novel computational photography, a move away from the heavy lifting of accurate mechanics and expensive optics. We apply our unique, physics-based reconstruction model to compute a sharp, 100X resolution, full-field image of the blood sample.

Smart AI for smarter healthcare. Scopio leverages AI to analyser vast number of cells, unlocking the true potential of blood cell morphology. Visual cell morphology analysis is still a manual, tedious task which requires expertise and is limited by the number of cells a human can routinely analyse through a microscope. Diagnostic solutions using the power of AI to count and analyser not hundreds, but thousands to millions of cells.

Full-Field Peripheral Blood Smear

This application is the first end-to-end digital solution that offers full field imaging and an AI powered decision support system with remote connectivity through your secure hospital network. Reducing turnaround time for peripheral blood smear review by 60% – a significant optimisation of lab workflows and operational efficiencies.

Scopio’s morphology Decision Support System automatically performs WBC detection to analyse 200 WBCs, quantify and pre-classify into 16 classes. Drag and drop to reclassify, or flag and annotate abnormalities, while never losing sight of the full context. Combine the powerful WBC differential with automatic platelet location and pre-estimation from 10 Fields of View – no need to manually count. Conduct RBC morphology evaluation from 1000 Fields of View supported by a robust set of features for measuring and annotating. The results of every assessment, including annotations and flagged abnormalities, are all documented in a digital report that is easily shared across the continuum of care.

Bone Marrow Aspirates

An industry first: AI powered digital bone marrow aspirates review

Scopio’s Full-Field BMA (FF-BMA) Application transforms the time-consuming bone marrow aspirate review into a streamlined, fully digital workflow experience, bringing new efficiency and standardization to BMA analysis. For the first time, hematologists, hematopathologists, and lab scientists can view all clinically relevant areas of bone marrow aspirate samples at 100x magnification, from anywhere across the secure hospital network.

Seamlessly navigate around the scan, select specific areas for focused analysis, and review the entire sample—from individual cells to the full context—with no need for manual microscope review. Review and analyse multiple slides within a single case, with management options for assigning cases, prioritizing abnormal findings, and tagging findings for training or research. The application provides comprehensive specimen quality analysis, calculating parameters such as particle presence, precursor cell presence, and overall specimen quality for the expert’s approval. The advanced AI decision support system proposes a 500-cell differential across all slides in the case, pre-classifying nucleated cells from all hematopoietic lineages into 16 categories​. The reviewer can confirm or adjust the differential. Supports comprehensive evaluation of iron stores with Prussian Blue stained samples. Every assessment, including annotations and flagged abnormalities, is securely documented in a shareable digital report, ensuring consistent, traceable, and repeatable results.

The X100 is for the small to medium size haematology labs seeking to transition from manual microscopy. Particularly valuable in decentralised healthcare systems, where remote slide review and consultation are essential.
