Your experience is our focus – because it was ours! There had to be a better way than how we experienced buying from large, indifferent catalogue companies, and being passed off to call centres with staff lacking understanding of our local market. Products were often outdated, and stock availability and delivery were unreliable too. That’s why AB Scientific was born…
Of course, not all companies are like that – there are some good eggs out there! But our first goal – which we’ll never lose – was to become the ‘golden egg’, supporting the UK and Ireland’s needs specifically, and to be the company that you can always rely on.
Founded in 2014, our core aims remain simple:
1. To give you the highest level of support possible, always putting you at the centre of everything we do.
2. To provide innovative products of the highest quality to help you work more efficiently and cost-effectively ~ so you can deliver your results confidently.
But what does “It’s all about you!” really mean?
Well, we’re not much for over-complicating things or fancy mission statements! The only reason we’re in business is to help you, and we’ll never lose sight of that.
The simplest way of summarising it is this: whether you’re a new customer, or have been partnering with us for years, we want you to feel confident with us.
As a distributor, we’re in a special position: we track solutions at global trade shows and conferences for their potential to meet local market needs. If you ask us to find the right solution for you, however big the challenge, we’ll always do our best.
We are keenly aware that making the world a healthier and safer place also applies to future generations. But as a supply chain company, that can be challenging! We’re working towards carbon neutrality and have made key changes:
– NO polystyrene packaging All our cold chain shipments are sent in paper-based fully recyclable alternatives (no bubble-wrap or plastic tape either!)
– The switch to SOLAR and LED lighting Since 2019 our warehousing facilities have cut carbon emissions by 37%, with solar now providing around 75% electricity (and this is in the gloomy UK & Ireland!) Annually that’s currently 70+ tonnes of CO2e saved.
– DHL’s GoGreen+ Certification We’re proud to participate in this initiative that prioritises Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) as an alternative to traditional aviation fuels, saving ~80% CO2e.
Trident Utilities are helping us with our plan and wider initiatives in business transport and operational waste. We’re committed to fully aligning to NHS targets and our carbon neutral goal. KPIs are tracked closely because this isn’t just a ‘nice-to-have’ business compliance; it’s a non-negotiable that fits our core beliefs that business can be done differently.

Our Bedfordshire (UK) and Waterford (Ireland) based warehouses are packed with products to enable us to deliver to you as fast as possible and are part of the Hazchem Network providing next day delivery to the whole of the UK for hazardous goods.
For rare products that are not stock items we work closely with you to ensure we have them in stock whenever you need them.
We take our company compliance seriously too.
Our scopes of accreditation are as follows:
ISO9001:2015 – All sales, storage, distribution, installation, and maintenance of scientific equipment and laboratory consumables across the Clinical and Industrial divisions.
ISO17025 – Calibration of Microbial Air Samplers (in-house lab or customer site)
