For way too long the scientific community has suffered from large scale catalogue companies who don’t know their products, have indifferent sales teams, pass customers off to call centres and offer outdated products.
Of course, not all companies are like this, there are some good eggs out there, but we want to be the golden egg when it comes to products and service. The one that you can turn to.
Founded in 2014, AB Scientific aims are simple, and we are on a mission to achieve them.

We are actively pursuing our goal of becoming carbon neutral. It has been a lot harder than we thought but this has not daunted us, and we continue towards our goal. We are doing this because we want to, not because we have to, as we don’t want our activities to be a problem for the next generation.
To this end, we have been making some big changes to the way we do things – all with the goal of reducing our environmental impact. One of the biggest shifts has been saying goodbye to polystyrene packaging. Our regular cold-chain shipments now go out in a fully recyclable, paper-based alternative instead. It’s a more sustainable choice but still offers the same great product protection and temperature control our customers expect. For our larger cold-chain shipments, we’re aiming to phase out polystyrene completely by early 2026. We’ve also replaced bubble wrap with a paper-based alternative and swapped out plastic tape for paper tape – complete with a brand-new design that we’re really proud of!
Our warehouse facility has been making great progress as well. Since 2019, they’ve cut their carbon emissions by 37% – that’s 65 tonnes of CO2e saved – thanks to solar energy and LED lighting upgrades across their sites. Solar generation has grown from 63MWh in 2019 to 345MWh in 2023, now providing around three-quarters of their electricity. In 2023 alone, that switch to solar saved the equivalent of 71 tonnes of CO2e.
We are proud to participate in DHL’s GoGreen+ in setting program where Sustainable Aviation Fuel is used as a green alternative to traditional jet fuel resulting in round 80% less CO2e. We continue to work with our partner Trident Utilities to execute on our Carbon Reduction plan and stay tuned for additional updates on AB Scientific’s Carbon Offsetting, SBTi, EcoVadis & CDP ventures.

Our Bedfordshire based warehouse is packed with products to enable us to deliver to you as fast as possible and is part of the Hazchem Network providing next day delivery to the whole of the UK for hazardous goods. For rare products that are not stock items we work closely with you to ensure we have them in stock when you need them every time.
We take our responsibilities seriously, we are ISO9001:2015 & ISO17025 accredited and are actively pursuing an aggressive programme to be become a net zero sustainable company as soon as possible and way before the Government’s directives.

ISO9001:2015 – All sales, storage, distribution, installation, and maintenance of scientific equipment and laboratory consumables across the Clinical and Industrial divisions.
ISO17025 – Calibration of Microbial Air Samplers (in-house lab or customer site)
