Natalie Herbert – Office Administrator

Natalie is one of our Office Administrators.

As a child what did you want to do when you grew up?

I loved drama as a teenager and aspired to study drama at college, with the aim of eventually landing a starring role opposite Leonardo Di Caprio. This did not work out! 😊

What is your professional background and what drew you to working for AB Scientific?

My background is in the corporate energy industry – I was Operations Manager for B2B energy suppliers and brokers. Working for AB Scientific is a brand-new industry for me and a challenge I was ready to embark on.

How would your colleagues describe you?

I did cheat and ask my colleagues and they came back with professional; a critical thinker and a bit woo woo! The woo woo part is because of my yoga background, however, I like to think of myself as more science and evidence based woo woo.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?

I enjoy art – acrylics / watercolours / pencil sketching etc. I like the outdoors and to visit National Trust sites. I also enjoy yoga, walking, horses, and being with my family.

How has AB Scientific allowed you to grow and develop professionally and personally, and what do you like best about your role here?

I started at AB Scientific in November 2021. Professionally, the company has been open to new ideas and ways of working. Even when I’d only been here a few months, I felt like I was making an important contribution to the business.  Personally, it has done wonders for my own growth and development and it’s an interesting and very current and relevant industry to be a part of – especially during and in the aftermath of the pandemic.
