Aaron Eglin is our Rapid Diagnostics Business Manager.
As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a doctor growing up, but for a whole range of reasons I realised that path wasn’t for me.
What is your professional background and what drew you to working for AB Scientific
I started my sales career with AB Scientific after graduating from The University of Nottingham in 2018. I had worked part time for Tesco Mobile during uni, giving me my first sales exposure. After deciding that a career in medicine wasn’t for me, I spoke with a family friend in the pharmaceutical sales industry and decided that this was the path I was going to go down. Interviewed at a few companies before coming across a role at AB Scientific and here we are!
How would your colleagues describe you?
Always happy to help, driven, motivational, positive and customer focused
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
My main hobbies are golf and going to the pub. I also play cricket in the summer so that is how my weekends are spent. I love going skiing so hopefully that is on the cards for next year!
How has AB Scientific allowed you to grow and develop professionally and personally and what do you like best about your role here?
Starting my career with AB Scientific has been a great learning curve. There were only 5 of us when I started so being able to grow within the business has been very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to continuing this growth in the future. No two days are the same – it’s great to chat with as many customers as possible and introduce them to the wide range of products we have available.
